Hi! I am Simone... Welcome!
I am a Bundaberg local, mother of three and grandmother to four beautiful children. I took the path of becoming a Social Worker as I was drawn to supporting others to overcome life challenges and to empower people to bring about positive change in their own lives.
Personally, I feel it is a privilege to be able to share a child and their family's journey of growth. I truly enjoy supporting children in learning new skills and knowledge and watching them overcome challenges from these new abilities. I am a creative and fun Social Worker who is not afraid of looking silly when singing 'Baby Shark' (even though I might be out of tune).
As I am a child a heart, my passion is working with children and their parents and/or carers. My Social Work journey has provided me the opportunity to gain experience in supporting children, youth and families whom have experienced a range of life challenges. My passion is to support children with developmental delays and disabilities, child mental health and trauma including family violence, physical, emotional and sexual abuse.
As a Social Worker, I use a strength based and family-centered approach in my practice and highly value equality, respect and empowerment. I am a registered Social Worker through the Australian Association of Social Worker
